So it’s been a while since I actually made a post to my blog.  I’ve started lots of entries, but none have actually made it to completion.  The last few months I have been spending a lot of time around web developers and designers and been kinda getting the bug again to start dabbling in the development stuff again.  It’s a hard thing to do without losing focus on the task at hand with SureFire and still provide the best technical support and solutions for small businesses.

We worked with Frank McMorrow from Epik Media to have our website redesigned and built on top of WordPress.  The biggest issue without previous layout wasn’t so much look or design, but only I could update content due to skill set.  Now that we have a new backend and a much easier system, we can have more participation from our team  to grow the content.  The look is pretty much the same, just more functionality and we’ll actually have our company blog hosted on the same system not on the public wordpress site like it is now – http://surefireit.wordpress.com. 

All that to say that I got a bit drawn to play more with wordpress and move from the blogger platform.  I am excited about the things that I can do so easily on the wordpress system.  Since I’m in my rebelious spirits, I’ve even moved from my ever so loved Blackberry to an iPhone.  I’m still getting used to the typing on a touch screen, but it’s a cool device.  I’ve got the wordpress app running and I should be able to make some more quick posts to the blog.
